Counseling
Counseling is at the core of what we do at The Center KSQ. The inception of the design of our integrated-wellness community was founded on the insight and vision of our original counseling team. Counseling is such a vital and important tool. It centers around not what is wrong with you, but about what has happened. This is a paradigm shift in the clinical world and a cornerstone to who we are and how we practice as a team at The Center KSQ.
Troby Roosevelt works with children, adolescents, and adults navigating a diverse array of life challenges. From anxiety surrounding school and college, career stress, and relationship struggles to confusion about next steps in life and building a deeper connection within one’s self; Troby brings a curiosity and mindfulness that he uses to partner with clients as they explore where they come from and where they want to go. He brings warmth and compassion into his work where fostering hope and motivation are central.
Troby takes a narrative approach to counseling. a core philosophy of his is that everyone has a story to tell; one that they are still writing themselves. He invites individuals to take an active role in that process while providing safety and space to make sense of the chapters already written. Through this approach, he aims to guide individuals to a deeper understanding of who they are. This sense of self becomes the foundation upon which other aspects of life can be discussed, processed, and informed. He collaborates with the client to create realistic goals and introduces techniques for growing one’s resiliency, communication skills, and confidence as they write their next chapters.
Troby practices under clinical supervision as part of The Center for Change at Kennett Square’s supervised counseling team.
