Counseling
Counseling is at the core of what we do at The Center KSQ. The inception of the design of our integrated-wellness community was founded on the insight and vision of our original counseling team. Counseling is such a vital and important tool. It centers around not what is wrong with you, but about what has happened. This is a paradigm shift in the clinical world and a cornerstone to who we are and how we practice as a team at The Center KSQ.
Dr. Raquel Johnson-DeVera (Dr. J-D) is a clinical psychologist who works with adults navigating PTSD, traumatic stress, emotional regulation challenges, neurodiversity, identity concerns, and the lasting impact of adverse experiences. Her approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and individualized, with an emphasis on helping clients develop greater resilience, self-compassion, confidence, stability, and connection in their lives.
Dr. J-D also works with adults seeking greater clarity around neurodiversity and diagnostic concerns. She helps clients better understand how their experiences, patterns, and symptoms fit together while providing practical strategies and recommendations that can support everyday functioning and long-term growth.
Her clinical approach incorporates evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), trauma-focused Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and skills-based interventions.
Dr. J-D earned her Doctor of Psychology degree from La Salle University and completed her internship at the Lebanon Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
